NOW ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS!
Alyssa started Cultivate Play in 2024 in response to a lack of neurodiversity affirming providers in the middle Tennessee area. She received her undergraduate degree, a B.S. in Exercise Science, and her Occupational Therapy Doctorate (OTD) degree from the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga. In her professional career, she has served both children and adults, with the majority of her patient care focused in pediatrics. She has experience in a variety of pediatric populations, but specializes in neurodiversity affirming and strengths based care, including but not limited to, Autism, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Pathological Demand Avoidance/Persistent Drive for Autonomy (PDA), etc. Alyssa is also neurodiverse (ADHDer), so she understands first hand many of the unique experiences of our neurodiverse children and their families. She is a certified DIR Floortime provider and uses these techniques often in her practice. She is passionate about home/community based care to enhance authentic and meaningful participation. Alyssa currently lives in Murfreesboro, TN, and enjoys crafting, spending time outdoors, and traveling in her spare time.
